POP Meeting Monday features Club Fit 24

This week’s Pounds Off Pulaski (POP) meeting will feature a presentation by two experienced fitness experts from one of our POP partners, Club Fit 24. 

The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 15, in the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Conference Center on the basement level of the East Tower. 

Eli Coffey (top photo) and Chris Hisle, personal trainers from Club Fit 24 HR will be our speakers. Eli is an active competitor in men's physique bodybuilding and powerlifting. He holds several Kentucky state records in powerlifting.  He also coaches others aspiring to be in a bodybuilding competition or powerlifting meet. Eli is a certified personal trainer at Club Fit in Somerset. Eli will be speaking on nutritional needs for creating a healthy lifestyle and how strength and resistance training is the foundation of fat loss.

Chris Hisle is an ISSA certified personal trainer.  He also holds several other certifications including ASFA, stretching, pre and post-natal and kickboxing.  Chris has trained at Club Fit in Somerset since 2011 and trained for several years when he resided in New York City.  He will be speaking on exercises for back and shoulder stability to help prevent injury as well as proper clothing and foot wear to wear while working out.

Pounds Off Pulaski is a 12-week county-wide weight loss challenge sponsored by 

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital and Somerset-Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce.  During the 12-week POP 

challenge, weekly meetings are held each Monday.  Participants may weigh in beginning at 5:00, and the weekly program begin at 6:00.  Weekly meetings are designed to provide support, information, and helpful tools to help participants keep on track so they can reach their personal goals.
