Celebrating One Year of Lake Cumberland Imaging & Specialty Care in McCreary County

It's been an incredible journey since Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital (LCRH) proudly opened the doors to its Lake Cumberland Imaging & Specialty Care McCreary County a little over a year ago on February 6, 2023. This stand-alone center in Whitley City has been instrumental in meeting the evolving healthcare needs of the citizens in McCreary County.

This state-of-the-art, 7,097-square-foot facility has been a beacon of advanced medical diagnostic imaging and high-quality specialty care services in the community. From the very start, the facility’s mission has been to provide accessible and top-notch healthcare close to home.

The imaging services boast innovative technology, including ultrasound equipment, computerized tomography (CT), x-ray services, and a laboratory, all aimed at diagnosing illnesses and injuries quickly and effectively. The facility has strived to create an environment of enhanced comfort, convenience, and privacy, with a dedicated entrance, ample parking, and on-site registration. The specialty clinics have been a game-changer for many patients with access to specialists in one convenient place including Orthopedics and Bariatrics. No more long travels or costly trips – just exceptional care locally in McCreary County.
