Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Welcomes 2 New Physicians

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of two new physicians to its medical team, enhancing the hospital's service lines. Dr. Jonathan Walrath, a 2020 Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital's Internal Medicine Residency Program graduate, brings internal medicine experience. He holds a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine, Pikeville, KY, and a Bachelor of Sciences in Biomedical Sciences, cum laude, from Morehead State University. Dr. Walrath is ABIM Board Certified. Dr. Jonathan Walrath will provide care to inpatients at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital (LCRH) who require medical intervention for a variety of diagnoses.
Dr. Ronald L. McGavic Jr., an American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology-certified psychiatrist, joins the medical staff focusing on general psychiatry. He completed his Psychiatry Residency at the University of Louisville and earned his M.D. from Marshall University School of Medicine. Dr. McGavic holds a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Louisville and an Associate of Science from Jefferson Community College. Dr. Ronald L. McGavic Jr. will be offering dedicated care to inpatients within The Springs of Lake Cumberland Behavioral Health Unit.
