Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Welcomes First Baby of 2024

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is thrilled to announce the arrival of the first bundle of joy in 2024. Lakelynn Kennedy, weighing in at 6 pounds and 3 ounces, made her debut on January 1 at 07:54 AM. Proud parents Amanda and Bobby Kennedy are overjoyed to welcome their precious daughter into the world.

When informed that Lakelynn was the first baby born in 2024, Amanda exclaimed, “I had a feeling she would come early!” Despite anticipating a scheduled c-section later this week for Baby Lakelynn's arrival, the little one pleasantly surprised her parents, becoming a New Year's blessing.

Committed to delivering top-notch, compassionate care to new and expecting parents in the region, Lake Cumberland's Women's Center provides various services to ensure a positive and memorable experience. The center boasts a Level IIB Nursery, six private labor and delivery rooms, and free virtual and in-person prenatal and breastfeeding classes. With two pediatric hospitalists, lactation specialists, First48 photography, and more, the Women's Center is dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming environment for mothers and their babies.
