Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Welcomes Three New Physicians to the Medical Staff

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital (LCRH) is excited to announce the addition of three talented physicians to its medical team: Amy Diaz, MD, Shaelyn Dixon, DO, and Autumn Justice, DO. With their outstanding qualifications and unwavering commitment to patient-centered care, these doctors will significantly strengthen Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital’s dedication to delivering high-quality medical services to our community.

Dr. Amy Diaz joins LCRH as an Obstetrics and Gynecology physician. She recently completed her residency at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center/South East Area Health Education Center (SEAHEC) in Wilmington, NC. Dr. Diaz earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Minor in Spanish from Wingate University. Her background also includes certified nursing assistant training at Mitchell Community College.

Dr. Shaelyn Dixon, who specializes in internal medicine, recently graduated from the internal medicine residency program at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital and now joins the Apogee Hospitalist team to provide care to inpatients at LCRH requiring medical treatment for various diagnoses. Dr. Dixon graduated with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of Pikeville-Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine, and she holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and Religion from the University of Pikeville.

Dr. Autumn Justice, who specializes in internal medicine, will also join LCRH as a new hospitalist with Apogee Physicians. She completed her medical education at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, earning her Doctor of Osteopathy degree in 2021. She brings a strong foundation in healthcare, having previously earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Eastern Kentucky University in 2017 and completing her initial nursing studies at Somerset Community College. Dr. Justice recently completed her internal medicine residency at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
