Lucky Arrival: Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Welcomes St. Patrick’s Day Baby

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital had an extra bit of Irish luck this St. Patrick’s Day with the arrival of baby Tate William Gene Proffitt! Born at 12:08 a.m. on March 17, 2025, Tate made his debut at 37 weeks, weighing 5 pounds, 6 ounces, and measuring 18.5 inches long. Proud parents Keisha Vanover and Joe Proffitt, from London, KY and McCreary County, welcomed their little one with the care of Dr. Fields and the dedicated team at Lake Cumberland’s Women’s Center.
“Our team feels incredibly honored to be part of such a special moment for families in our community,” said Elizabeth Garland, BSN, RN, CLC, Director of Women's and Children's Services. “Welcoming a baby is always a joyful occasion, but a St. Patrick’s Day baby brings an extra touch of celebration and good fortune!”
