Anesthesia
Anesthesia is medication administered during your procedure to lessen the pain or discomfort you may experience. Your anesthesiologist determines the type of anesthesia to be used during your procedure after review of your physical health, the type of procedure being performed, surgeon preference, as well as your request. An anesthesiologist will discuss the risks and benefits of anesthesia with you on the day of the procedure and will have you sign consent for anesthesia.
An anesthesia provider will monitor your blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen levels throughout the procedure.
