At Lake Cumberland, our Geriatric Behavioral Health unit provides safe therapy and medication management for senior adults 55 and older battling mental health conditions which require 24 hour acute inpatient treatment. Whether a loved one is experiencing increased anxiety and depression that interferes with their ability to function at their best, or suffering from behavioral issues resulting from dementia, we can offer a compassionate treatment plan fthat's customized to their unique needs, to help give them and you a better quality of life. With proper care, your senior loved ones can get back to leading the healthy, productive life they deserve.
Admissions are accepted 24 hours a day by contacting the unit Intake Staff. Referrals for treatment can be made by family members, friends, physicians, psychologists and other mental health professionals, social workers, social service agencies, hospital emergency departments and inpatient acute care facilities. Self-referrals are also accepted. Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital accepts Medicare, Medicaid and most other insurance payers.
